I was born in 1968 in Comodoro Rivadavia (Argentina), and during my childhood I lived in different cities from Patagonia. I studied Graphic Design at the University of Buenos Aires, and during several years I studied art with great Argentinian teacher Julio Jauregui.
I made different kind of jobs, but all of them related to drawing (greeting cards, comics, puzzle & games design, book covers, etc.) I am free-lance since 1993 and since 2000 I made different works for abroad.
Now I live in the city of Paso del Rey, near Buenos Aires. Apart from drawing, I like cinema (especially classic movies), science fiction and old TV series. I wrote some stories and published a SF fanzine during 1999 and 2000. I´m also an amateur musician and play keyboards and saxophone. Bruce Emmett has been a free-lance illustrator since 1973. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 1973 from Syracuse University. His work has appeared in advertising, publishing, magazines, and on theater posters.
He has done over 650 Elvis paintings for collectible plates produced by the Bradford Exchange. He has also done various private protrait commissions.

I grew up during the monster craze of the sixties and love the artwork of the Jaymar monster puzzles and the Hasbro board games.
I went to art school for a few months but am mostly self taught.
Oil paints are my favorite medium because of their buttery texture and lush colors. I've been painting monsters for over 25 years and try to paint images of power and emotion.
