Vintage from the 1930s
Description: This lovely vintage brooch has the 925 stamp indicating it is sterling silver and what appears to be a K stamped next to it.
The brooch has enameled leaves and the stem is set with marcasite. The "flower" is a cluster of what appear to be fresh water pearls set on to the tips of wires. These pearls are in a variety of sizes adding to the dimension of the piece.
The brooch is in very good vintage condition. The sterling is tarnished and we have not polished it , leaving that decision to the buyer. There are no missing marcasite and the pearls, too, are in lovely condition with no loss of nacre. The enamel has very nice shading and there are no chips or fading. On the reverse the glue used to fix the pearls to the wires has yellowed but this is not obvious on the front of the brooch.
The brooch measures 3 1/2" long and 2 1 /4" wide.
