This measures 15” round & approximately 2”deep.
It can be used as a tray or as a decorative art piece to display on the wall. It does have a 2.5” cord attached for display. Each piece is unique to the artisan.

The Ye'kwana people are also known by other names, including Makiritare, Maquiritare, & Yekuana.They are an indigenous group inhabiting the border regions of Venezuela & Brazil. Basketry is an intricate part of their daily life. The artists restrict their creative process. Their baskets must respect a pattern of shapes & colors and often reflect their deep connection to nature.

The flat weave, also called “Wa'Pa" flat circular basket used for cassava, fruits & other dried foods. 
The materials typically used are bamboo or rattan with natural dies. 

This timeless piece reflects the artistry of its maker, adding both functional value &rustic charm to any space.
