It is not a computer, so typing takes more effort in pressing the keys :-)
Note:
The plastic card shield which holds paper against the roll has the right tip broken (see last photo), but as you see in the image of the typewritten page, it does not affect typing and holds paper normally. If you want to replace around, eBay has it for $10-$14.
