The Gay Gibson brand was one of many Kansas City, Missouri labels that flourished from the end of the 1930s through the 70s. They aimed at a young market, running enticing ads in Seventeen magazine. Their prices were a bit steep for many teens and twentysomethings, but the images evoked a lot of daydreams (and inevitable homemade copies).

This is a "Sits at knee" to "Mini" depending on how tall you are. I wore it & it hit just below knee, I'm 5 ft.
Beautiful ORIGINAL buttons down front, for style, with tie at top.
Back zip closure w/ eye hook, missing the loop but hook intact.
