I have been working in the Design & Marketing industry most of my adult life, mainly designing brochures.  I have recently been spending a lot of my spare time creating montages of Iconic stars for wall displays. Sourcing images can take up a lot of time. I really enjoyed doing this montage of Boris Karloff. I currently have an enlarged version on my studio wall at work. Boris Karloff - the name alone sends shivers down my spine. I remember as a young lad watching all the old black & white ‘X’ certificate movies with my father.  The atmosphere in those old films still holds up today and is rarely achieved with today’s modern film techniques. I still love watching Bride of Frankenstein - the scene when the Monster meets his “bride” and she hisses, is still one of my all time favourites. How very nice of the lovely Sara Karloff (Boris’ daughter) to take time out and pay tribute to my montage. Laying out and composition took quite a while, but, I'm very pleased with the results. Enjoy. Gary Pope. Gary can be contacted through his agent: robingeorge@hotmail.co.uk

At 13, I was introduced to fan magazines by my close friend, Chris Fuhrman (author of the book and movie "The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys"). I had my first works published in Famous Monsters of Filmland (#133 inside front cover); Photon #27; Midnight Marquee (formerly Gore Creatures) #24 through #34, etc. My favorite horror movie is "Frankenstein" 1931. In high school, my art teacher encouraged me to enter contests. I am competent in all mediums. My brother and I were commissioned by the schools for special projects. I have been employed by Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah, Ga since 1983. I started in the illustrations department and now work in engineering design. Copies of displayed artwork are for sale.
