Tribute Letter from Robert DeChristopher

Dear Sara Karloff,

I am a 58 year old chemistry teacher. I'm fairly new at this Internet stuff.

Final grades were turned in today, I came home, and just for the heck of it I typed in "Boris Karloff" and pressed "Go". And there it was.....A BORIS KARLOFF HOME PAGE!!!!! And I thought I was the only person left on earth who remembered
your father.

I still remember the thrills and the anticipation of fright that filled our lives at those Saturday matinees. As I grew up, I began to learn that Boris Karloff was much more
than a "scary" movie. He made it believable and all so real. Each time I watched one of his movies, I began to look at the details of his acting. Over a lifetime, Boris Karloff became my most favorite actor of all times. My family and friends have heard me say this a thousand times, so you may as well hear it too.

"If I had another life to live and a choice of who to look like, I'd ask to look like Boris Karloff. A stunning face, a face that would instantly command and capture your attention."

Tomorrow, when I get in my car and drive away, the person behind me and the person coming towards me will read the name on my license plate. It is "KARLOFF". This is my daily tribute to your father, the greatest actor I've known.

Once, when I was renewing my plate sticker at the DMV, the woman behind the counter (around my age) said, "Cool plate, why do have it?" I said, "Someone has to remember him. It might as well be me."

Sincerely,
Robert DeChristopher

P.S.
I drive thru Chicago every day, so lot's of people get to see my
license plate and, I'm sure, recall a memory or two of your father.
In this way, your father, like the Frankenstein monster he portrayed,
will be immortal.
